About Wil and Wayan
Wil and Wayan are a husband-and-wife team who love cooking and eating food from all over the world.
Wayan is a professional chef who has been cooking classic Indonesian dishes since she was a little girl helping out in her mother’s warung (small restaurant). As she got older, her interest in cooking deepened and she started collecting recipes from chefs, food stall owners and other local experts. She has worked several London restaurants and is now working on her own food venture.
Wil is a keen writer whose years living, working and researching in Southeast Asia led him to fall in love with the food culture of this culinary and culturally diverse part of the world.
After moving to London in, Wil and Wayan faced the challenge of cooking all their favourite Asian dishes without needing to buy expensive imported ingredients. This led to the pared-down, easy-to-follow style of cooking presented on this website.
