Wil and Wayan are a husband-and-wife team who love cooking and eating food from all over the world. Wil has spent the last seven years eating his way around south-east Asia. His language skills (and iron stomach) have given him a deep insight into the food culture of this culinary and culturally diverse part of the world.
Wayan has been cooking classic Indonesian dishes since she was a little girl helping out in her mother’s warung (small restaurant). As she got older, her interest in cooking deepened and she started collecting recipes from chefs, food stall owners and other local experts as well as building up her collection of cookbooks from second-hand bookshops.
After moving to London in 2010, Wil and Wayan faced the challenge of cooking all their favourite Asian dishes without needing to buy expensive imported ingredients. This led to the pared-down, easy-to-follow style of cooking presented on this website.
